Ok, so I need to get better at writing these monthly round-ups at the end of the month, rather than over half way through the next month. What can I say? Life has been pretty intense and September 2018 was pretty awful for my blogging schedule – I blogged three times. (Shame, shame, shame.) That’s not to say that things were not going on, in someways the less you hear from me, the more I’m up to. As much as I try, I cannot do it all. I know I will get there one day and will be a super thin and glamorous wonder-woman who blogs every day, whilst maintaining a perfect home, career and family and never has a greasy fringe. Until that day comes, this was my September 2018.
Mouthy Women Podcast
I love recording the podcast, but finding the time is tricky, so Mouthy Women is currently a monthly release. At the start of September 2018, Hannah and I sat down and bashed about our thoughts and experiences of manifesting. I had so much feedback on the episode both in messages and in person. Thank you to everyone that got in touch and chatted to me. I loved hearing about your own experiences with manifesting and a huge thank you to the lovely Jenny, who described Hannah and I as the Mulder and Scully of podcasting – you really made us laugh
Accor Hotels Social Media Photography Workshop
You can take the girl out of the classroom, but the inner-teacher never leaves you. I was really excited to work with Accor hotels to support their staff with social media photography. It was so lovely to help guide their hotel managers to capture magical moments with just their phones. I normally work a lot with smaller business to provide and teach photography and I really loved the challenge of working with larger groups of creators for a leading global business.
Marks and Spencer Christmas Food and Drink Press Show
Yes, I got into the Christmas vibe in September and I loved it! After a totally blogger-dream-come-true collaboration with Marks and Spencer at the end of the Summer, it all just became beyond exciting to be invited to the Christmas Food and Drink 2018 press show. I had such a lovely time seeing everything coming up at M&S for the festive season, do checkout the full festively flavoured post to see all the exciting products from the day. I already have my favourites stashed away. Now to just stop myself from eating them for the next few months.
Winterbourne House and Garden Snapshot Feature
The middle of September 2018 delivered a wonderful treat – I was featured as Winterbourne House and Garden’s September Snapshot. I’m such a fan of Winterbourne and I am so honoured to be featured. It really is a wonderful place to visit, theres a house to explore, a wonderful tea-room to enjoy and the gardens provide all-year round inspiration, relaxation and general good-feeling. You can discover more about this wonderful place to go in my blog post from last year.
AW18 at Crowngate Shopping Centre
Breakfast and shopping with my Momma is my Sunday of dreams and I worked with Crowngate Shopping Centre in Worcester to showcase what a wonderful shopping spot they have available for AW18 shopping. This was a really exciting opportunity for me because high-street shopping can be really tricky as my Mum is a wheelchair user. I love being able to celebrate locations that are fully accessible to all. We had such a lovely day and picked up lots of on-trend pieces for the season ahead.
Manifesting My Dream Car
The end of September 2018 was a little dream come true. In a shock turn of events, I purchased my dream car, a Citroen C1 ELLE and one week later I headed to Budgen Motors Telford to collect my dream car. Can you believe it? I still can’t quite work out how it all I happened. Obviously, I’m over the moon and so so grateful. If you listened to the manifesting episode of the Mouthy Women podcast, you will know how important gratitude is to me and boy, am I overflowing with appreciation.
I will do a full post about my car, purely because there is very little out there on the new 2018 Citroen C1 ELLE. I know this because I spend days scouring the internet for images and information to look at when I was manifesting. In the meantime, you can see my mini-tour video that I created on the day I picked her up.
So, with September 2018 sprinkled across our memories, it’s time to look ahead. October will be a much quieter month for me with my upcoming surgery to remove small tumours from my uterus. (Feel free to hit me up with details of your reproductive system too – I love a good share on the internet.) So, bring on the pumpkins, the woolies and the wellies. I’m ready for you.
