Shopping for the season ahead is one of life’s treasures. I love the feeling of reinvention that comes with seasonal dressing, but finding the perfect shopping spot is essential to enjoying the new season fashion haul. I alway want variety, convenience and stores that are both on-trend and varied. I also need great eating close-by to keep me well fuelled and convenient car parking to carry the day’s purchases home. Crowngate Shopping Centre in Worcester just so happens to tick every box on my list and they kindly invited me along for Sunday of seasonal shopping and here’s how I got on.
Crowngate Shopping Centre
Crowngate is Worcester’s largest shopping centre, home to 55 stores with secure parking to boot. Located just off the main shopping street of the city, there really is no better spot to enjoy some much-needed retail therapy. I love shopping at any time and for this particular visit, my Mum and I enjoyed a wonderfully relaxed Sunday, starting with a yummy breakfast.

Breakfast at Wildwood
I love Wildwood. Be it their amazing deli range or their very scrumptious mushroom and halloumi burger, it’s fair to say I’m quite the fan. As they’ve recently launched a new breakfast menu – a visit was an essential way to start our day at Crowngate Shopping Centre.
The menu offered a small but delicious range of breakfast choices that ranged from avocado on toast to a full English breakfast. Obviously, Sundays and a full English are perfect partners, I chose the vegetarian option and my Mum opted for the standard breakfast with a pot of tea each.

The veggie breakfast was so good. I loved the addition of halloumi and avocado, it made for such a fresh and tasty meal. Portions were generous and both meals were piping hot and delicious.
The restaurant is beautiful, with distressed wood and architectural accents that worked beautifully in all the amazing natural light. It was such a pleasure to sit in the sunlight as we ate. Once fed, it was time to start shopping.
Oasis at Crowngate Shopping Centre
Oasis is one of the newest additions to the centre and was first on my list to visit. We passed the store front on the way in and I already had my eye on quite a few beautiful pieces from their window.
I loved the AW18 collection at Oasis, their coats, boots, bags and accessories particularly caught my eye. (Always my fashion favourites). The Oasis team were really friendly and helpful, their product knowledge and trend awareness was really impressive and so helpful to customers looking for some guidance in-store
Hot Oasis picks for AW18
There were quite a few pieces that are on my now firmly on my Wishlist. Here are my hot picks:

Casual Ankle Boot. I chose a beautiful pair of boots! You can never have enough pairs of beautiful boots right? These are just perfect. They sit low on the ankle, which is really flattering to the leg, so they look amazing with dresses and skirts. The boot is beautifully shaped to create a feminine a flattering silhouette and that heel is the perfect height to add a little lift to your looks. Did I mention they were really comfortable too? The dream boot!

Martini Mac. A classic trench is a oh-so-chic at any time of year, but is the perfect transition coat through autumn. The Martini Mac is calf-length, the most beautiful nude-toned camel shade and is firmly at the top of my Wishlist.

Reversible Tie Shopper. The mustard trend is stronger than ever and I always need a good-sized bag. (I can’t be the only one!) This shopper is a great size, a beautiful shape and is reversible so you get two looks for your buck. Need I say more on this AW18 staple.
So many stores

There were so many stores to browse and we browsed most of them, our favourites including The Body Shop, New Look, Cornucopia and Debenhams. Spread over four floors, Debenhams was a real hub of gorgeousness, both Mum and I cam out with quite a few AW18 purchases. I picked up a gorgeously on-trend leopard-print jumper that is getting a lot of wear. It’s so cosy, easy to layer and can be dressed up and down – so versatile.

AW18 city shopping at it’s best
We has such a wonderful day at Crowngate Shopping Centre. We browsed AW18 trends for fashion and interiors, ate well and soaked up the wonderful atmosphere of Worcester. The sun shone all day and by the time we returned to the car we were already planning our next visit. Christmas shopping is firmly pencilled in!
On a side note, I think it’s important to highlight how disabled friendly Crowngate Shopping Centre is. My mum is a wheelchair user and it’s always a concern when we go to new places – you would be shocked at how many locations are not fully accessible and do not have disabled facilities. Everything was accessible to us and with Crowngate being under-cover, it was wonderful to be able city-centre shop with my Mum enjoying the ease of a shopping centre. We are absolutely making Crowngate our first choice from now on.
