Events in the Midlands are few and far between and I was so excited to discover the #addictedtointeriors event at Neptune in Edgbaston. Interiors, Instagram and canapés all on one night? I had to go!
Setting an interiors instameet event at Neptune was perfect, the showroom was beautiful and so inspiring, with three floors of interior style to browse, prosecco in hand, I was in my element. In fact, I need a return visit to Neptune, to look in more depth. There were so many lovely people to chat with, my only disappointment was that I could happily have enjoyed another hour or two.
Putting faces to Insta handles
I went along with my good friend Hannah from A More Authentic Life, these things can be so nerve-wracking, it was lovely to go together. I had planned to catch up with the super-lovely (and hilarious) Jessica from Jessica loves and I have to say, it was so good to turn an Insta-friend into a living, breathing person. Jessica, Hannah and I chatted for ages on the terrace and it was so relaxed and easy, the time just flew by. I’m very lucky to be heading to another event with Jessica on Tuesday and I know we’re going to have a lovely time together.
I also got to meet and chat with some beloved instagrammers and meet some new ones too, as well as getting to know lots of lovely ladies that love to soak up the Insta-inspiration that is on offer across the Midlands.
The goodie bag
To top off a wonderful night, each attendee was gifted a wonderful goodie bag to take away. The Neptune bag was stuffed with a selection of lovely things from midlands based sponsors. I loved the celebration of local talent, at a local venue, filled with lovely locals. To celebrate the beautiful treats that were gifted, I’ve put together a little video of the ‘un-bagging’ (is that a thing?)
Thank you
I have a lot of thanks to give in this post. Firstly to Hannah for her ever-wonderful company and to Jessica for really making me laugh. To the lovely Claire and Jennie for organising the event and to the Team at Neptune for all their hard work, serving drinks and ensuring everyone was happy. A final thank you goes out to the goodie bag sponsors: Fentimans Ltd, Stupid Egg Interiors and Neptune. (Another sponsor is listed on the postcard, but my bag seems to be missing that item.)
My Neptune Wishlist
- Every home needs an apron or two and the Rose Randall Apron is on my list.
- Neptune’s faux flower shop is stunning and are a great way to add floral arrangement to your home that truly last. Remember, Faux is the new fresh.
- Belmont Glass Jars are the storage jars of dreams – is there anything else to say?
Here’s to the next midlands gathering!
Love,
