What is it with pink? I love it. Unchecked, I could easily throw myself into a Barbie-inspired lifestyle. Fear not, I’m not about to drive about in a hot-pink jeep just yet.
Blush pink is an easy-to-wear neutral that elevates any outfit into a feminine style statement. In my recent visit to Marks and Spencer, I noticed two pieces that I couldn’t stop thinking about, so as a reward for shedding a few more pounds, I added a touch of blush to my wardrobe.
Structured Style: The Blazer2019 has been the year of the power suit. No longer a boardroom staple, a blazer is a must-have piece for every woman’s wardrobe. As a curvy woman, I find the structured lines of tailoring incredibly flattering and the versatility of a blazer means you can pair it stylishly with jeans and trainers as easily as you can team it with a more structured outfit.
I spotted the double breasted pink blazer and knew that I had to make it mine. I love the contrast of feminine blush pink with a more masculine boxy shape. It looks great with casual outfits and is transformed with a pair of stilettos. I’ve worn it quite a few times already. To really make the pink of the blazer pop, I teamed it with an ultra-slinky black pleated midi skirt and a simple form-fitting long-sleeve tee. I added a shoe that offers structure, but with a little more skin on show, transforming the look for evening.Add a blush tote
To tie the look together, a blush tote was the perfect way to go. This vegan bag from Marks and Spencer is absolutely stunning. Perfectly sized to see you from day looks to evenings out. I love the structured shape and gold hardware that is perfect in feminine pink.
My weightless journey is really opening my eyes and heart to fashion. I suddenly feel like so many new looks and styles of garment are now available to me and I’m embracing it. It can feel quite scary dressing differently to how I used to, but it’s a challenge I’m loving.I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about my blush wardrobe update, I’ll be sharing a few more new looks over the coming months.
